Baptism:
     Date:   22 Sep 1707
     Place:   Eglwysbach, Denbighshire

Individual Note:
It would appear from the Parish Record of baptism that Robert had Ellen by another woman called Mary as his wife had also given birth to Jeffrey who was baptised in May 1707. Accepting that baptisms are no accurate guide to the date of actual birth this is the only logical reason for the Vicar saying Ellen was a bastard.
