Individual Note:
The Holywell Parish Vestry minutes dated 18/2/1822 (P/30/1/204) has anentry which reads "Resolved that Owen Holland be allowed one pound forlodging Mary Davies and attending her during her insanity." This wouldimply that Owen was living in the Parish Of Holywell at the time andthat he had sufficient accomodation to take on this responsibility.

The Holywell Poor Law Union Weekly Outdoor Relief List (WhitfordDistrict) for the Qtr ending September 1837 shows Owen as receiving a2/- per week payment from his Parish of Llanasa (Ref G/B/136/213).The records for Holywell District dated Qtr Ending Sept 1838 show thatOwen's funeral expenses of 16/6d were paid by the Union. An earlierrecord in the same year had shown that he was living with his son inHolywell and successfully applied for his relief to be increased from2/- to 3/- per week on the basis that he was disabled and confined tobed. Given that the wife of Owen's son Richard (called Catherine) wasnamed on the death certificate it would seem to imply that Owen wasliving with Richard & Catherine in New Road Holywell at the time ofhis death.
