From British History Online:

John de Holland of Hale in 1334 successfully claimed an eighth part of the manor of Shevington and lands there and in Wigan against Sir Robert de Holland, Gilbert de Haycock and others; but Alice de Tunstall in turn made a claim against John and others respecting a free tenement in the same places, and John de Holland was committed to the Marshalsea; Coram Rege R. 297, m. 93, 69 d. William de Holland of Hale in 1366 leased to Henry son of John son of Henry the Wright of Shevington, Mariona his wife and John and Hugh their sons lands called Grendillisfield (formerly held by William Witte), Omthull, and Ridges; Standish D. Richard Holland1

Biography

Richard Holland died about 1334/35.2
It should be noted that Bernard Holland omits the name of Robert Holland (who married Margery) son of Richard son of Sir Robert Holland in the Sutton Pedigree contained within his book the Lancashire Hollands. Instead Bernard Holland attributes a Robert Holland who married Agnes Molyneux as son of Richard son of Sir Robert Holland. William Farrers MSS in Manchester Archives L1/56/1/5 Sheets # 1&2 show the son of Richard son of Sir Robert Holland as Robert who married Margery who had a son Richard who married Agnes Molyneux. As Bernard Holland cites no source for his assertion the Farrer MSS is preferred.
