Individual Note: Robert de Holland (fn. 18) was succeeded by William, probably hisbrother, but ultimately by Joan the daughter of Robert. She marriedWilliam de Molyneux (who died in 1358), son of the lord of Sefton,(fn. 20) their son Sir William de Molyneux succeeding to Euxton, inwhich his widow Agnes had dower after his death in 1372. (fn. 21) Downto 1729 the manor remained in the Molyneux family, (fn. 22) but wasthen sold, with lands in the township, and disappears from the recordsfor nearly a century. It is stated to have been acquired by JamesLongworth of Liverpool, whose descendants afterwards sold it toWilliam Ince Anderton of Euxton, (fn. 23) in whose family it hasremained till the present time.

Individual Note: Joan the daughter of Robert married William de Molyneux (who died in1358), son of the lord of Sefton, their son Sir William de Molyneuxsucceeding to Euxton, in which his widow Agnes had dower after hisdeath in 1372.
