Individual Note: The only reference we have for Thomas Holland is that he is alsolisted as a householder of Llangelynnin in the Wigfair MSS 699. Asthere are no other Hollands listed it seems likely that he was anotherson of Humphrey.

We know that Jane went on to marry Robert Rogers by virtue of anindenture dated 1799 between Edward Price Lloyd and Mary VaughanDavies, within which he bargained and sold Ty Mwyga, Carreg Y Dinasand other property previously mentioned in the Coed Coch 527indenture. Within this indenture it refers to the previous ownershipas follows, "which were previously in the tenure of Robert Rogers andothers and subsequent hereto of Jane Holland, otherwise Rogers". Itappears these lands were purchased by Edward Lloyd, Baronet, and thegreat uncle of Edward Price Lloyd. We also know that Robert Rogers wasin possession of Carreg Y Dinas in 1730 from a list of freeholders ofthat date (XQS/1731/247). We know from Owen's will that Jane andRobert had two daughters Alice and Catherine who took their fathersfirst name as their surname.

Burial: Date: 19 Feb 1694
Place: Gyffin
Individual Note: It is believed that Humphrey had a second son John. This is based onan assumption that the Hugh Holland referred to as Owen's son in lawin Owen's Will dated 1729 (who married Owen's daughter Ellin) was theson of Owen's brother John. There therefore two key assumptions madehere in this pedigree that (a) Hugh was the son of Owen's brother John& (b) that if Hugh baptised 6/4/1684 was the son of John then it washe who married his first cousin Elin (daughter of Owen).
All the available evidence points to John as being resident in GyffinParish in a property known as Cae Alen, where he also died in February1694 (Gyffin BT). Unfortunately there is no evidence that eitherHumphrey or John made a will, the fact that Humphrey was interred inGyffin rather than Llangelynnin and the proximity of the burial datesmay imply that they died of a common complaint. It is surprising thatthere is no tombstone for Humphrey in either Llangelynnin or Gyffinchurchyards, especially as his signature on the Gyffin church tithesand some of the BTs indicate that he held some form of officialcapacity in the church, possibly church warden.

Individual Note: There is also a possibility that Humphrey had this third son Roger whoat the time of his death in 1727 was recorded as being of Bwlch inGyffin. The possible association with the other sons of Humphrey isthat Roger's son Thomas resided at Cae Alen the abode of the deceasedJohn (Humphrey's second son). This property remained in the occupancyof the descendants of Roger for almost two hundred years until thedeath of Elizabeth Holland in 1896. It would appear from the followingrecords that the descendants of Roger eventually took over Cae Alen.
