Baptised as Lloyd aged 16 yrs.

This input is from Stan Lloyd; The first thing that struck me in the1881 Census was the number of people in what would have been a tinyhouse in Price's Square (long since demolished). Only later did Idiscover that Evan's mother Mary had children by 3 different fathers, that the 2 "Lodgers" were her sons and that at this time she was notmarried to David Lloyd. The reason for the "coming together" of allnamed was the death of John Roberts in 1872. David Lloyd, whilstfathering his own children has taken in Mary's widowed motherElizabeth (she died 25 June 1881) and her own 2 sons. Also here is myNain born 10 March 1881. I have a Death Certificate for John Roberts, issued as authorised by the Coroner but I have never found out wherehe was buried. He is not in the Registers at Llandrillo or Llangollenor places in between. Evan Lloyd joined the 3rd Battalion of the RoyalWelch Fusiliers on 9th January 1883 having previously served as aMilitia Man in the same regiment. He saw service in India beforeleaving the army in 1890 having been awarded the Burma Medal. Evansdeath in a Railway accident at Chester occurred when he was only 34yrs old.
