Joe was a sheetmetal worker in the car industry living in Spennymooruntil about 1935 when he came to work for Vauxhall Motors in Luton. Hemet at a dance and in 1937 married Francess Everitt of Letchworth. InAug 1939 Joe joined the Royal Artilliery as Gunner and acted as batmanto a young officer at Larkshill, Wilts. Around 1944 he returned tomove his wife & daughter to Coventry, where his brother Peter HollandB.1913 already lived with wife Connie & his mother Florence , who hadremarried Joseph Evans and been again widowed. Peter had been workingin the town centre during the bombing of Coventry and walked homethrough streets "running with blood". Joseph died in 1973
