Individual Note: Janet Beith (wife of Edwin Holland) was the daughter of John Beith &Janet Russell. She was born 1853 at Crofthead, Linlithgowshire,Scotland, one of 12 children.
Her 7 brothers were mine managers, engineers, or mining contractors, and I think most, if not all of them spent at least some time in Wales- some moved there permanently.
One of her brothers, William, played a major part in the Tynewydd minerescue in 1877, wining the Albert medal. Info from Ian Broadfoot,Newcastle, Australia
