Info from Stan LLoyd: After being recorded on the 1881 Census he isnext found marrying Eleanor (Ellen) Davies, an Abergele girl, 1890 inLiverpool. She being one of the many North Wales girls who went toLiverpool to work as Domestic Servants. At this time Stephen wasliving in Wrexham and working as a Skinner, a trade which he followedfor the rest of his days, and was to cost him his life as he waseventually infected by a parasite found in animal skins. His familygrew to 9 as they moved from Abergele to Worcester and finally on toChepstow. He being apparently successful as he is recorded as aFellmonger and later as a Fellmonger Manager. After he died in 1903his widow Eleanor is recorded as having to work as a Charwoman, onewonders how she coped, having been pregnant when Stephen died. Aseries of tragic events followed for her as her son Stephen waskilled in a farming accident in 1908, age 15. She lost 2 sons in theGreat War, Llewellyn (South Wales Borderers, MM) and Gethin(Monmouthshire Regiment) and was to lose her namesake daughter to TBage 21 in 1922.
