Robert Edwards born 1802 in Cilcain who married Elizabeth Holland in1826 at Whitford Parish Church is my third great grandfather. He was alead miner. In 1827 they relocated to Gwaenysgor. By 1831 Robert andElizabeth were living in Meliden where their children were born. Theylater moved back to Gwaenysgor in 1848. Robert died in Meliden22.4.1861 of inflammation of the lungs.
Roberts father was born 1760 in Cilcain. He was living with his wifeElinor at Pen-y-Cefn Farm, Cefn, Cilcain, which is a Grade II listedbuilding. He was a Mine Agent and his brothers also farmed there. Aphoto of the Farm is on the British Listed Buildings site.
